Ranger Walk: Quartzite Quest Ord

Join us for a Highland Council Countryside Ranger guided walk.

Tackle Scorach Bhreac, the highest hill in Sleat and its neighbour, Sgiath-bheinn an Uird. The summit of Scorach Bhreac is formed of quartzite – 98% pure silica – which was mined locally. There are incredible views from the summit of these hills. Learn about fish farms and more on this interpretive walk.

Meet at Ord road end to car share to start of walk. Time: 10 am to 3pm. Grade C. Booking essential. 6km. Adults £5, Concessions £3.
