New SLEF website goes 'live'

Posted on

After a long and laborious gestation, this new website has replaced SLEF's tired old one, which for several years has been doing a reasonable job but not good enough. Concerned onlookers will be comforted to be assured that old faithful has had a dignified e-binning.

We extend our gratitude to our sponsors The Highland Council through their biodiversity officers Janet Bromham and Jonathan Willet and funders (see bottom of this page) in association with the software wizards who set this all up Dave, Colin and Jamie at Plexus Media who each deserve a bun from the Cromarty bakery and have probably just eaten it.

We at SLEF trust that this website will raise public awareness of our existence, promote our work, currently focussing on a Leader-HLF funded Community Outreach Programme and increase our membership of individuals and organisations with a committment to the prosperity of our natural and cultural landscape.

Skye and Lochalsh Environment Forum would like to thank the following organisations for their support:
Scottish Natural Heritage
The European Agriculture fund for Rural Development. Europe investing in rural areas
Leader
RSPB
The Highland Council
The Scottish Government
Skye & Lochalsh Environment Forum, The Old Police Station, Isleornsay, Sleat, Isle of Skye, Scotland IV43 8QR
